Happy Memorial Day! This is a special and important day to honor the take on guy and women who provided their lives serving our nation during war. This flag is from my grandfather’s funeral. He did not die in a war, but he was proud to serve in the us army and flew a C-7 Caribou transfer plane. On this solemn day, I wished to take a moment to keep in mind our nation’s heroes, and to share a poem with you:
We who are left how shall we look again
Happily on the sun or feel the rain
Without remembering how they who went
Ungrudgingly and spent
Their lives for us loved, too, the sun and rain?
~Wilfred Wilson Gibson
Many people also have the day off, and this is a good day to spend with buddies and family. I decided to put on my Chef’s fit and have a barbecue! I’m serving up hamburgers, fries and apple pie. For my dog and cat friends, I have Nature’s range raw chicken medallions!
I have just one concern for you: how do you want your burger cooked?
What are your Memorial Day plans?
