With the new site design comes a renewed focus. many of the messages here will be related to canine behavior and canine training. Of course, it’s still easy to relate these to canine exercise, canine rescue and cat behavior from time to time ?
The mission of ThatMutt.com is to help as numerous dogs as possible by helping canine owners understand their dogs better. That implies being compassionate to all types of canine owners. There is no appropriate way to obtain or raise a dog, no appropriate training method or training tool – just the best way for the individual canine and the individual owner.
I realize much more than ever that I do not have all the answers. Not even close. no one does.
In addition to the blog, there are all kinds of ways to learn much more about canine training and behavior:
I’ve created a totally free newsletter which will focus on canine training goals, canine training practices and building a solid relationship with your dog. If you’ve registered for the newsletter in the last three months or so you ought to already be subscribed. Otherwise, I hope you’ll join us. You can do so at the very bottom of the home page. My goal is to maintain a real and engaging newsletter, and the articles will not appear anywhere else on the site.
I’m going to be working on several ebooks which you may choose to purchase if the subject interests you or if you would like to support the blog.
That Mutt’s canine forum is growing, and I hope you’ll jump into some of the interesting conversations there. We have some very knowledgeable members, and they are open minded and kind.
I’m looking forward to building on my own canine Ace’s training. He’s 6 now, and there’s always much more we can do, always ways to grow.
