Ace as well as I walked 2.98 miles this morning. I noticed birds singing for the very first time in months. lots of birds. I believe they were having a party.
I let the mutt bring an old Frisbee that he discovered as well as stole from one of our neighbor’s trash piles. obviously a few didn’t get the memo that there was no trash pick up last week or this week in Fargo.
When Ace as well as I got to the park I let him run off leash as well as he got quite fixated on the toy. My mutt is weird with Frisbees. He doesn’t obsess over retrieving them as poor as he does with a tennis ball, however he wishes to rip Frisbees to shreds. This Frisbee was made from rope material as well as other fabric, as well as it was destroyed after about three throws.
Anyway, when it was unthrowable, I made the mutt “drop it” as well as “leave it.” This was great method for him since I had him heel off leash as well as ignore the toy.
On our next leisurely walk I will bring a tennis sphere in my right hand. This is a great mental exercise for Ace since he has to focus on heeling on my left as well as moving ahead rather than obsessing over the sphere on my right. It’s extremely difficult for him, as well as it’s something I haven’t done with him in a long time.
